Sydney · Secure IT Office Relocation

Relocate the technology, protect the business.

IronSights is a Sydney technology and cyber security firm specialising in secure IT office relocation. We plan, protect and migrate the infrastructure, identities and security systems that keep your business running.

An office move is rarely just a move. It is a network cutover, a physical security reconfiguration, a chain of custody exercise across sensitive equipment and a long list of Conditional Access, Wi-Fi and Teams Rooms changes that have to land in the right order. We are the team that owns those moving parts so your business does not have to.

Our approach

Technology relocation, handled end to end.

We treat an office move as a security and operational project, not a logistics one. The plan, the people on site and the validation pack reflect that.

The aim is simple. Walk in Monday, sit down, work.

Plan

Site survey, asset register, dependency mapping and a written cutover plan before a single cable is touched. Risk is reduced on paper first.

Secure

Vetted technicians, chain of custody documentation, sealed transit and full asset tracking. Sensitive systems stay accounted for at every step.

Move

Coordinated decommissioning, transit and recommissioning across infrastructure, endpoints, network, Wi-Fi, AV and physical security.

Validate

Every device, every connection, every control tested before sign-off. Your team walks in Monday morning and works without thinking about the move.

Scope

What's included
in every relocation engagement.

Eight workstreams delivered by a single accountable team. No handovers between vendors, no gaps in ownership, no surprises on the move weekend.

Network and Wi-Fi cutovers

Firewall, switching, VLAN and wireless cutover planned around production hours so users stay connected.

Microsoft 365 reconfiguration

Conditional Access trusted locations, named IPs, device compliance and Teams Rooms re-enrolment updated for the new site.

Rack and server relocation

Rack discovery, cable mapping, controlled shutdown, transit protection and re-racking in the new comms room.

Endpoint relocation and setup

Desktops, laptops, monitors and peripherals tracked individually, transported securely and recommissioned at the desk.

Meeting room and AV recommissioning

Teams Rooms, displays, conferencing and booking systems brought back online and tested ahead of the first meeting.

CCTV and access control

UniFi Protect, Access and other systems relocated, reprogrammed and re-licensed under our NSW Master Security Licence.

Structured cabling coordination

We coordinate cablers, electricians and building access so trades arrive in the right order and the project stays on schedule.

Post-move testing and validation

Functional, network and security testing across every recommissioned system, with a written sign-off pack on completion.

Microsoft 365 stays with you

Microsoft 365 lives in the cloud, so the platform itself does not move. What does need attention is everything wired to your physical site: Conditional Access location rules, Teams Rooms hardware, device compliance for any re-imaged kit and identity continuity through the network cutover.

As Microsoft specialists we handle that work natively. Stale trusted-IP rules are updated before users sign in from the new office, Teams Rooms are re-enrolled before the first meeting, and Conditional Access stays enforced through the change rather than relaxed around it.

Risks an office move introduces

The failure modes we plan against so they don't turn into Monday morning calls.

  • Lost or misrouted assets in transit
  • Unvetted contractors near sensitive systems
  • Decommissioned hardware leaving the building unwiped
  • Access control and CCTV gaps during the move
  • Network cutovers that strand remote and hybrid staff
  • Sign-in failures from stale Conditional Access location rules
  • Extended downtime that pushes into the trading week

What good looks like

Clear outcomes,
documented at handover.

Downtime is expensive. So is uncertainty.

Every relocation closes with a written sign-off pack: asset register, test results, configuration changes and security evidence. The board, the auditor and the insurer all get the same answer.

Minimised downtime

Relocations planned around your trading hours, with parallel runs and rehearsed cutovers. The goal is a quiet Monday morning, not a noisy one.

Chain of custody

Every asset tagged, tracked and signed for from old site to new. You receive a full asset register, transit log and sign-off pack at handover.

Secure decommissioning

Hardware that is leaving service is wiped to recognised standards, with certificates of destruction for drives, devices and storage media.

Operational continuity

Microsoft 365, network, security and physical systems back online on schedule, tested and documented, so the business keeps running.

The difference

A removalist moves

furniture. We move technology.

Most office moves are coordinated by a removals or fitout team. They are excellent at what they do. They are not, however, set up to manage sensitive technology, identities, networks or physical security systems.

IronSights works alongside your removalist, fitout contractor and building manager. We own the technology workstreams so your move runs as one coordinated project, not five.

Industries

Sectors that trust us with the move.

Most of our relocation work sits with organisations that handle sensitive client information, regulated data or licensed creative environments. The pattern is consistent: the consequence of a bad move is far larger than the move itself.

Professional services

Law, accounting and advisory firms moving sensitive client matter with confidentiality intact.

Financial services

Brokers, advisers and fintechs with regulated data and trading systems that cannot afford outage.

Healthcare and allied health

Clinics and specialists with patient records, imaging and clinical systems requiring careful handling.

Creative and media

Studios with high-performance workstations, render storage and licensed creative environments.

Technology and SaaS

Engineering teams with development environments, hardware labs and customer-facing infrastructure.

Education and not-for-profit

Schools, training providers and NFPs balancing tight budgets with real security and uptime needs.

A typical engagement

From first survey to first business day.

  1. Discovery and site survey

Walk both sites, identify dependencies, photograph rack and comms rooms, capture risk and constraints.

  2. Plan and asset register

Written relocation plan, asset register with serials, cutover runsheet, rollback plan and stakeholder sign-off.

  3. Pre-stage and prepare

Conditional Access updates, new-site cabling coordination, equipment staging and pilot testing ahead of the move weekend.

  4. Move and recommission

Disconnect, transport, re-rack, re-cable and recommission. Endpoints back at desks. Security systems back online.

  5. Validate and hand over

End-to-end testing, user acceptance walk-throughs, sign-off pack and on-site hypercare on the first business day.

Common questions

Asked by businesses on the move.

Not in this list? Email hello@ironsights.com.au or book a 30 minute planning call. No obligation.

  1. Is IronSights a removalist?

No. IronSights is a technology and cyber security business. We are the team that plans and executes the technology side of an office relocation: infrastructure, Microsoft 365, network, endpoints and physical security. We work alongside your removalist or building contractor, not in place of them.

  2. What sized offices do you relocate?

We work with Sydney offices ranging from boutique 15 to 30 seat practices through to multi-floor 250 plus seat sites with on-premise infrastructure. The work scales because the underlying process, planning, asset tracking and validation, scales.

  3. Can you handle the move over a single weekend?

Most relocations are scoped to complete over a weekend or out-of-hours window so staff return to a working environment on Monday. Larger or more complex moves run across a phased plan with pilot users first. We design the timeline around your operating hours, not ours.

  4. How do you protect sensitive systems during the move?

Vetted technicians, documented chain of custody, asset tagging, sealed transit and secure storage where required. For decommissioned equipment we provide certified data destruction. Our NSW Master Security Licence and ISO 27001 certified processes back this up.

  5. Does Microsoft 365 need to be migrated when we move office?

No. Microsoft 365 lives in the cloud, so the tenant, mailboxes and files do not move with the building. What does need attention is the work tied to your physical site: Conditional Access trusted locations and named IPs, Teams Rooms and Surface Hub re-enrolment, device compliance for any re-imaged hardware and identity continuity through the network and ISP cutover. As Microsoft specialists we handle that workstream as part of the relocation.

  6. Can you relocate our CCTV and access control?

Yes. IronSights holds NSW Master Security Licence 000109187, so we can lawfully design, supply, install and reconfigure CCTV and door access systems. UniFi Protect and UniFi Access are our default platforms but we work with most enterprise systems.

  7. How is the engagement priced?

We provide a fixed-scope proposal after the site survey and planning workshop. The proposal covers planning, on-site labour, cutover work and post-move validation, so you know the cost before the move weekend, not after it.
